Mobile user interface techniques: Zooming

Our zooming mobile user interface demo illustrates how to view part of a larger element by zooming in on it. This is useful when you want to emphasize either content or interface elements in greater detail such as product texture, mechanical details, maps or images. From the user interface standpoint, this allows the user to maximize the usefulness of a compact medium for viewing the image by taking advantage of the small screen real estate to move into the most important information in the current application.
