Mobile user interface techniques: Focus/De-focus

The focus/defocus mobile user interface technique allows a large amount of information to appear on screen and then have an emphasis placed on a particular area so the user's attention is quickly focused on the relevant area. In this example, we blur the bulk of a picture that the user has chosen. As in any desktop application, emphasis is gained or changed by change in color, brightness or focus in a particular area of the screen. Visual contrasts will focus the user's attention as directed.
